Why they're Awesome
SHOCK REDUCTION: It's what Vimazi is all about. Less impact shock, minimal lateral stress.
COMFORT: Wide toe box, Breathable upper, Molded foam heel counter, ultra-smooth transition.
FEEL: Ample cushion in heel and midfoot smoothly transitions to a firmer forefoot that provides noticeable stability during push off, especially when running hard.
Z50 Design Notes
ENGINEERING SPECS: Average adult ranges for height, cadence, and body weight at this pace.
CUSHIONING: In order to reduce impact force at an easy cadence, we tune the density of the heel area of the Z50 softer than other light-weight training shoes. The heel also has a specific rocker shape to ease the foot into the stride as smoothly as possible.
STABILITY: The reason we can provide better impact shock reduction than other shoes, is because the Bio-Logic™ midsole transitions to a firm forefoot that resists side-to-side compression. This is the genius of Vimazi. No compromise.
DROP: The Z50 drop is 5mm, which allows us to make the softer heel without the risk of additional strain under the foot. A lower drop than 6mm would require a firmer heel to properly protect the foot.
SOLE DESIGN: Heel and forefoot rockers work together with the ankle and ball-of-foot joints to further slow the kinds of accelerations that can cause damage.
MIDSOLE MATERIAL: Vimazi Z-Foam is made from an EVA (ethylene vinyl acetate) base with additives to increase abrasion resistance and longevity. Most importantly, however, we use Z-foam because it allows us to dial in an ideal compression set for each model. This isn’t possible using other common midsole foams. Our midsole formulas are the heart of the technology. Many brands falsely claim that their foams help improve running economy. Such claims betray an ignorance of the fundamental mechanics of running with muscle-powered jointed legs.
